How to authenticate a diploma or academic records for use in China?
In order to be used in China, a diploma or degree must be legalized by the Chinese Consulate or Chinese Embassy. This process can also be used for TEFL, TESOL certificates and school transcripts. The following steps must be completed for authentication for use in China:
1.) Original document or notarize as true copy
2.) Authentication by Secretary of State
2a.) Authentication by US Department of State for the following states: Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming and Washington DC.
3.) Authentication by Chinese Consulate or Chinese Embassy
