Applications for the most common visa types will require flight and hotel reservations. The visa application form will require you to enter your itinerary and the information must match your reservations.
Flight Reservation Sample:
- The flight reservation must be round trip ticket leaving and returning to the US. If you are traveling on separate airlines or booked one-way tickets on separate reservations, you must include both departing and returning flights.
- The flight reservation must have your full name as shown on your passport, a booking confirmation number and eTicket number.
- The flight reservation must be paid in full
- You must print a copy and include with your application.
Tips:
You can get best prices if you book your tickets three months in advance or more. Many airlines offer non-stop direct flights while Chinese airlines will have one or two stopovers.
If you are unsure of which exact date you will be traveling, we recommend to look into booking a flight that is refundable. The price will be higher than non-refundable tickets but you will not lose your money should your travel plans change.
If you are entering or departing China by train, you must submit a copy of the train tickets.
If you are entering or departing by a cruise ship, you must include your cruise reservation.
You do not need to provide reservations of any flights or train tickets for travel within China.
