ORIGINAL passport along with a clear photocopy of passport data page (top and bottom). The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months at the time of application and contain at least two consecutive blank visa pages. If applying for 10 years visa, passport must be valid for another 12 months or more.
1.2 Visa Application Form
Download and complete V.2013 Form. Must be completed thoroughly. No fields should be blank. If a field does not apply, write N/A. Form must be typed on computer and signed by hand. The name on the application form must match the name on passport.
Attention: The Los Angeles Consulate released a new application form on 2/26/18. All applicants applying through the LA Consulate will have to use the new form or your application will be rejected. Download new Chinese Visa application form for LA here.
1.3 Passport Photo
Passport-type photo affixed to application form. Recently taken 2×2” color photo with white background.
Note: Starting 2017, photo standards have become more strict. See photo requirements. Photos are often rejected when requirements are not met. New photos will be required if current photo is rejected.
1.4 Order Confirmation
Print a copy of your order confirmation email and include it with your application packet. This will help us identify your order.
1.5. Copy of Photo ID
This is to prove your place of residence. Photocopy of driver’s license, state ID, or etc. If you do not have one, please provide a utility bill. If applicant is a minor, please provide copy of parents’ driver’s license or state ID.
1.6 Copy of Previous Chinese Visa
If you have obtained a Chinese visa before, a copy of the previous visa is required. If your passport was renewed, copy from former passport and copy data page of former passport (top and bottom).
1.7 Supporting Documents
Every visa will require supporting documents.
